Katsu rolls are a popular home-cooked dish. They're crispy and delicious, and even more delicious when soaked up in broth. Below are a few ways to make them even better, so you can choose the recipe that best suits your taste!

Katsu Rolls with Tomato Sauce
Ingredients:

5 katsu rolls
1 tomato
A pinch of cilantro
7g soy sauce
7g vegetarian oyster sauce
15g tomato sauce
8g sugar
3g salt
4g cornstarch
150g water
Instructions:

Dice the tomatoes and set aside.

Mix the soy sauce, vegetarian oyster sauce, tomato sauce, sugar, salt, cornstarch, and water to make the sauce.

Heat oil in a pan and quickly fry the katsu rolls until golden brown and crispy. Remove from heat and drain.

Leave some oil in the pan and stir-fry the diced tomatoes until tender and the juices are released.

Pour in the prepared sauce, bring to a boil, then add the fried katsu rolls and stir-fry quickly to combine.

Sprinkle with cilantro before serving and enjoy. Cooking Tips:

When frying the bell rolls, control the heat to avoid burning them.

Stir-fry the diced tomatoes until they are soft and juicy for a better texture.

Bell Roll Casserole

Ingredients:

As many bell rolls as needed
As many meat rolls (such as black-bone chicken rolls)
As many shrimp pastes as needed
1 tomato
A pinch of celery
A pinch of shredded ginger
A pinch of soy sauce
A pinch of salt

Instructions:

Gently unfold the bell roll, top with the meat roll, then add two layers of shrimp paste, rolling from the beginning to the end.

Add a little oil to a casserole dish, add the chopped tomatoes and stir-fry until softened.

Place the rolled bell rolls in the casserole dish and top with the celery and shredded ginger.

Add an appropriate amount of water, then a little soy sauce and salt to taste.

Cover the pot and simmer over low heat for 10-13 minutes, until the sauce thickens and the bell rolls and meat rolls are cooked through. Garnish with cilantro or chopped green onions before serving.
Cooking Tips:

Roll the meat rolls tightly to prevent them from falling apart.
When simmering in a casserole, keep the heat low to prevent the broth from drying up.
Steamed Minced Pork Rolls
Ingredients:

As many rolls as needed
As many minced meat as needed
A pinch of chopped green onions
As needed, soy sauce, salt, sugar, cornstarch, and other seasonings
Instructions:

Add the minced meat to the appropriate amount of soy sauce, salt, sugar, cornstarch, and other seasonings, mix well, and set aside.
Open the rolls and top with the mixed minced meat.
Place the rolled meat rolls in a steamer and steam over high heat for 10-15 minutes, until cooked through.
Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Cooking Tips:

Mix the minced meat thoroughly to ensure it is well-seasoned. This will ensure the steamed rolls have a better texture.
Adjust the steaming time according to the thickness of the rolls and minced meat to avoid overcooking. Taste Adjustment Tips
If you prefer a savory flavor, add a suitable amount of seafood or diced chicken to the tomato sauce bell rolls.
If you prefer a spicier flavor, add a suitable amount of chili peppers or Sichuan peppercorns to the bell roll casserole.
If you prefer a lighter flavor, reduce the seasoning in the bell rolls and add a suitable amount of diced vegetables.
